Our programs are designed to work with divers of all skills and ages. Our various programs take divers from beginner, to high performance competitive, to international podium! Participants in these diving lessons focus on mastering the basics in a fun, safe environment.

Camps

Ages 6 to 17

Register for one of our many camps that we offer throughout the year! Whether you're looking for something fun or looking to keep up your skills, camps are a great way to enjoy diving!

Swim & Dive

Ages 6 to 13

One of the first opportunities for young children to try diving is our Swim and Dive class, which is run in collaboration with Pacific Coast Swimming. The class gives children a taste of diving and competitive swimming instruction, before committing to a more structured program. The curriculum for Swim and Dive will be based on the elements of Start Dive level 1

Start Dive

Ages 6+

Start Diving comes in 3 levels and is suitable for children 6 years upwards. Each of the 3 levels, ‘Start 1 Start 2 and Start 3’, are 1-hour classes with their own curriculum of 10 diving skills. Your coaches will be tracking progress and will be open to parent consultations to give updates upon request.

Teen Dive

Ages 13+

Teen Dive is the extension from our Start program into more adventurous skills. This is where you start to flip, expand skills from different heights and develop a broader skill base. Teen Dive is typically geared towards teens and is designed to challenge and exhilarate. It is not a requirement of this program to venture into competitive diving, but opportunities will be presented to participants. For those who progress well, they can transfer across to the competitive program should they achieve the requirements and catch the diving bug even more.

Adult Dive

Ages 16+

For the young at heart, Wednesday nights in Adult & Masters night. If you want to learn a few basic dives to feel confident on holiday or venture into masters’ competitions, we have you covered. It's super fun, great physical fitness and has a great team spirit.

Gym & Trampolining

Ages 6+

Running alongside the Start Dive program, we have Gym & Trampolining. This program is designed to support the technical and physical progression in the Start Dive 1, 2, and 3 levels. Gym & Trampolining is optional and can be booked to compliment the Start Dive program.

Competitive
Programs

The Boardworks Diving Academy is affiliated with and endorsed by Diving Plongeon Canada and BC Diving. Through this partnership, we produce high performance athletes capable of competing on the national and international stage. Our coaches have Olympic pedigree and are some of the best in Canada and we are lucky to dive in one the best diving facilities in the nation.

Inclusion in the competitive stream at the Academy is by invite and assessment. Athletes can register for our programs (listed above) and, should they aspire to join our competitive squads, our team will evaluate and invite. We pledge to work closely with athletes who wish to compete and give them all of the tools to achieve their objectives.

The Academy also recognizes that the diving should be a fun and inclusive sport. For that reason, the Academy supports a novice category where divers of all ages can train and compete with a greater focus on just having fun.
